Sorry if I missed it, but has anyone had their start date extended? When I got my facility, it said 3 dates, then at the bottom it said they may be able to accommodate a later date. So I requested a little late for family reasons, and I got it pushed back about a month. I guess my question is, could this in any way hurt me? Like them end up pulling the facility I’m going to? I’m assuming no or else she would have said something. But just like everyone else I’m sure, I waited a long time to get this, and I got my first pick, so I don’t wanna screw it up now. I asked her this question, but no response yet.

Ok thanks. Speaking of seniority....does the fact that I been in the union for the last 5 years help? What about military time? I’m sure the military time doesn’t help but maybe being in the union?

This is interesting, so it doesn’t have to be NATCA just a represented union? I don’t think the DOD Union is “respresented” (in quotes cause I’ve never spoken to a union rep before) but do you know if it transfers over?

You should receive one when you're around 30 days away from your start date. If you're inside of 30 days and have not received one, reach out to your HR point of contact.

It's dependant on the start date, roughly 30-45 days prior to start date.

I imagine thats how it works when you chose a start date inside of 30 days. However, I would love know if my extension was approved or even received. Trying to get the rest of this Afghan money, but will leave it all behind if I had to.

I had my date extended a month no problem. I think it depends on the facility and their needs. Charliene got back to me pretty much right away after my request
