Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

I'm doing my medical with Kenneth from Mount Juliet on the 26th of February. Have you done your MMPI? I just did mine at the BNA tower in Nashville today. be prepared for 567 questions of weirdness.

567 questions of weirdness is an understatement. I couldn't figure out whether they were trying to figure out my mental health or something else.

I don’t know if anyone noticed, but you have to complete MedXpress quistonaire before you go to your physical. Has anyone gotten the MedXrpess info yet?

Also the email stated not to scheduale your physical til 10 days after sending the medical interview questionnaire.

They said they'd send another email five days before your appointment. I imagine that'll have the medXpress login info and anything else you need (the person I called to schedule the physical said they needed some form from the FAA for billing).

Yeah, I don't know how anyone could be done by the 22nd...

Did anyone notice it said on the Security e-mail that you can not submit the e-qip until AFTER you send in your fingerprints and OF306 form? I almost didn't catch it.

Judging by the responses in this thread, some of you guys should really work on your reading comprehension skills before going to OKC...

I scheduled the appointment exactly 10 days from the day i received and sent back the pre-employment worksheet. counting that day as 1 the 22nd was the 10th day. i received my security stuff today and completed it all and sent it back. all i am wait on is the mmpi-2 which is scheduled for Tuesday and the drug test and physical are scheduled for the 22nd so it will be all done then.

about an hour after the pre-employment worksheet was sent back they sent me my stuff for medXpress. After you do that medXpress gives you a number for the AME to use to pull up your account.

You received the security email, got fingerprinted at a police station, mailed the fingerprints, and filled out the entire e-QIP start to finish all in less than one day? That’s...... insane.

Yes pretty much. I literally just finished the e-quip an hour ago. It's pretty easy when I have never traveled or done anything.

For "any past, significant, or ongoing medical condition" that includes past treatment for depression? How do I go about getting records for that? Find a way to contact my old psychologist and ask them for a copy? Do I have to contact all people that treated me (other psychiatrists and etc.)? Contact any hospitals that gave additional treatment?

In general what records should I get/do I have to get and how would I get them? Aside from depression I have had no major issues outside of occasional visits to the doctor for colds or the flu or whatever

Thanks for any help for this noob lol

Did you get the special issuance letter from a medical support staff yet? When I got mine it had exactly what I needed to do for my various conditions as well as the forms I needed from my doctor.

You mean the email they said would come from Aerospace Medicine Office? Not yet I only got the CIL that said to wait for that... but it also said "you are encouraged to obtain a copy of all medical records pertaining to each medical condition" so I wanted to see what I should do to help speed up the process.

So you're saying the medical clearance email will come with super clear instructions on what to get/who to contact/how to get everything so that even someone that knows absolutely nothing will understand and be able to complete?

I would start chasing down all your medical records now, yes.

The way it's worked for me so far is that I got my CIL, and then a bit later I received an e-mail from AVS-Medical-Applicants that had a form titled "Pre-employment Interview Worksheet" that asked me to fill it out with pertinent medical information and send it back. There was also a list of AME's attached on that e-mail, as well. I filled out the worksheet, sent it back, and the next morning I had an email from a rep that told me I needed to provide documentation to apply for a special issuance. They gave me all of the info for each condition that needed checked and a "current status report" to be filled out by my doc.

Right so how does this work? Never had to do this before lol

Do I start calling up/emailing any psychologists/doctors that I've seen? My family doctor? Any hospitals I've ever stayed at? Say I'm going to need their records on me? Should I ask my insurance too? I really have no idea how this is supposed to go lol

Thanks for all of the info btw, every bit helps a lot

I've only been asked for information pertaining to conditions that need a special issuance. Pharmacy records going back 8 years, doctors notes regarding to the conditions specifically. That's about it. If they need more paperwork, they'll ask. If you have any questions once you hit that point, call the person that sends you the email asking for more info. They'll be able to clear it up for your specific case way better than any of us could :)
