Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

I hate this question because I also ask it and the truth I’m not willing to accept is that there is no definite or even ballpark answer. However, I did go through the OTS 17 bid thread, and they ran roughly the same timeline as us. From what I could see a lot of people had their class dates and FOL’s from June to September. Some were in November, some in December and some are still waiting. Some people got a class date two weeks after their paperwork was sent in, some have been waiting months. There are too many unknown variables to give a precise answer, but if I were a betting man, I would say if you don’t get a class date by September (assuming you aren’t Tier2’ed), be prepared for the long haul.
Still waiting?? Dear god, how....

Has anyone in Arizona been able to take the MMPI yet? I'm having trouble getting it scheduled and I'm wondering where else I can possibly take it in AZ

To all that received a TOL in the past day - do you mind letting me know what region you are located? I, personally, am in the Great Lakes - just want to give myself any shred of hope that perhaps they are sending geographically 😉

Got mine yesterday and I'm in the South East.

Pardon my laziness as I’m sure this has been answered, but what is the expected time frame between when TOL’s are received and scheduled academy dates. I know there are several steps between the two, but I’m just trying to get a very ball park estimate(4-6 months, more or less)
I think it was around 6 months from TOL to class date for me last year.

So I've finished everything except the medical step (can't schedule it yet due to some personal scheduling conflicts).

Just wanted to make sure, apart from the overall 90 day deadline, is there a specific deadline for the medical step? The other two steps (security and MMPI) had their own deadlines (typically "within 10 calender days" of receiving directions).

Scheduling your drug test within 5 days of your physical. Think that's it

Hey I know people received their TOLs yesterday, but does anyone know if they are going to send anymore out. I live in the Midwest don't know if that will help. My profile still says reffered, so there is still hope. ?

Asking again since didn't get any answers:
So for "foreign nationals" while that normally means people living in the US but aren't citizens, for the SF86 they're looking for any foreign contacts in general? Including relatives (not immediate family)?

When I did my secret security clearance , they wanted to know about any foreign person I’m still in contact with but is not living in the US. So immediate family, extended family, friends and so on. Hope that helps.
