Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

On the pre-employment interview worksheet....
Medical conditions, what exactly are they wanting disclosed? I don’t have any ongoing medical conditions, but if I had a sinus infection two years ago that I took an antibiotic for, do they expect me to list that?

Craighow pretty much nailed it. You could list everything, but most people don't remember every medication they took, when they visited the doctor's office for that hangover you got two bags of IV fluids for, etc. Think ongoing and existing conditions, or serious illnesses in the past that required hospitalization, treatment, medications, and/or surgery. If all you literally have is the sinus infection two years ago, put it down.

Didn't see it posted in this thread yet, could have been yesterday when I was reading while buzzed, but someone on reddit posted this:

"Finished my CTI program after the bid so I applied pool 2. Figured I’d transfer to a 4 year and continue education while waiting to get in with the FAA. Had a phone call last week with some former controllers who are now professors at the uni I’m transferring to. One of them said there’s a rumor that most of the TOLs sent out so far are from pool 1. A pool 2 TOL wave is speculated to come in the next few weeks. Again, this is a rumor. But fingers crossed. "

I love rumors.

Seemed like the majority of TOL holders that posted here were Pool 2. I could be wrong, but when people would relay earlier in this thread that's what it seemed like

I’d say right now it’s probably a mix of both pool 1 and 2 who have TOLs. I’ve seen people on StuckMic that have offers in pool 2 as well. All we know is rumors and nothing is for certain until the bid completely closes out and changes to not hired or whatever it goes to. I’m hoping the majority of offers so far was 10pt vets and those who scored very well on the test and they’ll squeeze out some additional waves.

I’m pool 2 and I got a TOL. Thought they usually went 50/50 with offers.

So I just gave my security poc a ring and asked if there was any update to my clearance. They looked it up and my conditional was granted. One less thing to have off my mind for now. I submitted around 2/18ish so I figured i would see if any update came in. My poc is VS.

When was your medical

I did my medical on the 28th. No word on that yet from my medical poc or on the MMPI-2.

They say no news is good news. You already cleared clearance so you're probably one of the earlier ones that'll get an FOL.
I'm jealous. My medical is tomorrow though. Hopefully I'm not too far behind you :)

I’ll feel more comfortable when the flight surgeon gives me two thumbs up.

Unfortunately that’s a process as well, just because you go to the DR and have your medical doesn’t mean you’re automatically cleared. You’ll still have to wait for someone behind a desk to give you the check mark.

For me it took maybe a month? Now granted I was in Houston TX at the time and went to get my medical done ASAP so results will vary greatly I assume.
