Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

I asked my Security POC for an update and they just said they sent all my stuff to HR. Emailed HR for an update and they said I was just waiting on medical. Does this mean my security is done?

As far as I gather, yes. I asked my security POC what that meant specifically as well, and they said that as long as I didn't materially lie on my SF-86 (or do something stupid in the meanwhile) that I should be fine. It's still technically a preliminary clearance, but she mentioned that they won't stamp you through unless they believe you'll clear.

Anyone else having issues scheduling the medical exam? Couldn't read the full e-mail in the pdf and when I call it just lets you leave a message saying they'll call me back ASAP. Been a few days now...

When you call who?

And if you’re trying to schedule maybe I could help you and look at my PDF and provide you with the phone numbers around your area. LMK

Calling the ATC examiner, specifically the Longmont, CO one. Guess I shouldn't just say "it", not very descriptive. It's the right office, I might just have to go down to Denver.

Oh yea if you’re calling the office you want your physical done and they don’t answer try the next one.

I took mine in Denver it went pretty smooth. Just make sure they get everything done when you go. They forgot to do my EKG so I had to go back. Hope that helps.

The physicians office that I had my physical scheduled with today called yesterday to cancel due to not having a hearing machine. I had to reschule for a different office for next week. The thing is that I had my drug test scheduled today as well. Hopefully I can just go take it today and not have to take another one to be within 5 days of my physical. I’ve been trying to get an answer from my medical POC but no dice. Gonna give them a call in a bit and see what they say.

Edit: They approved the 7 days due to me having to reschedule the physical.

The Pre-employment Forms email.. for those who have completed the paperwork and sent it back in, did you receive a confirmation email?

Just an FYI just spoke with my HR rep, your drug test does not need to be within 5 days of you medical. its good for 6 months to a year they didnt remember the exact time. Yes I understand instructions say to do it within 5 days so doesnt hurt to do it that way, just saying.
