Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

If you don't mind me asking, what number did you call to ask? I don't plan on calling right now but if we hear of another wave of TOLs go out and I don't get one, I think I'd like to see where I stand in preparation for next bid.
Sorry, I've been busy. The number was (405) 954-4657.
I just told them that I had applied for the 2018 new hire bid and was looking for an update. She told me all about the TOLs and whatnot, then I said that a friend of mine was told his ATSA band and was curious about that too, so she let me know.

That's when I took mine! Great news!
Was it your HR POC that emailed you or medical?
It was medical, because they need a report from one of my doctors. So she was just following up to make sure I received her request. In her email she also noted that my MMPI results and drug test cleared.

does anyone know how long a full security investigation takes?

It varies per person and their background, also how quickly the employers and references respond to inquiries. I’ve heard it can be a year or even longer, depending on your clearance level. I got my TS/SCI in 30 days, other people in my unit took 6 months or so.

Your clearance wont be complete until after you are at your facility. Mine was about 10 months after I started the academy
