I know many controllers that have shit the bed in a level 7 up/down
I also know people who have left my facility and checked out at N90. There’s an argument for every side.

O boy. Sure hope I dont. I am starting a Level 7 up/down.I know many controllers that have shit the bed in a level 7 up/down
I agree. I’m agreeing with the point that just because you go to a level 7 up/down doesn’t mean you are undervalued. Most FAA places are busier than any military installation, for the most part.I also know people who have left my facility and checked out at N90. There’s an argument for every side.
The level 7 I was at washed two prior exp guys. Not trying to scare you just acknowledging the fact most people try to downplay these facilities when they shouldn’t. I was guilty of it until I got there myself.O boy. Sure hope I dont. I am starting a Level 7 up/down.

I really have a full respect for the FAA and know that I am entering a whole new ballgame of ATC. I know we are "prior exp" but I am not going in there expecting to certify super fast or know how to do it as soon as I walk in the door. I am willing to learn and adapt. I am not down playing any FAA facility. I have never worked FAA. I know that military does not handle traffic like that. I am nervous but I am going into this with an open mind ready and willing to learn. I am confident just have to have respect for the training. I have heard of many Prior Exp people getting washed. It is scary but we should know that. If you go into this thinking that its going to be cake, I think you have another thing coming. I have always wanted to be in the FAA since I started ATC in 2007. Good luck to everyone that is going to a new facility and entering the FAA.Thats my point as well just because it's 5-7 doesn't mean it's going to be a walk in the park or that it's below anyone's ability.
I heard everyone was turning it down because they didn't get offered CLT or DEN.Did anyone accept there offer ?
Yes.Did anyone accept there offer ?
What is your start date?FOLs are going out to anyone who replied yesterday.
6/9...really 6/10What is your start date?
Facts! The busiest military bases work a fraction of the traffic of FAA 10s, 11s, and 12s, and it’s not even close. Three prior AF controllers from the busiest base washed out. One didn’t even make it out of labs. The analogy I use is baseball. FAA facilities are the MLB and military is Little League: they're playing the same game, but not really, and the worst MLB team is still magnitudes better than the best little league team.
Nahhh.. Can we even do that? Andrews should be an easy in and out. Training time is less than a year and the projected % to target is pretty good. You wanna trade for Andrews?
Apparently you’re not allowed to say that any FAA facility is easy and the easiest FAA facility is harder than the hardest military facility.Nahhh.. Can we even do that? Andrews should be an easy in and out. Training time is less than a year and the projected % to target is pretty good.
