Hiring Bid Experienced Bid: FAA-ATO-19-ATCEXP-60073

Just called aviation careers, still awaiting FS approval ??‍♂️ Waiting game continues.
Gentlemen, I have a feeling that this will be our week.

It’s our week.

When we call to get an update from our Medical POCs they will say, “Your medical application is still awaiting Flight Surgeon approval. There is no time frame available for your approval and the Flight Surgeon will review after taking his vacation and looking at every other application. Go fuck yourself.”

Our. Week.

I did notice some Flight Surgeon job openings for the FAA on USA jobs website one was in the Seattle area and two other else where. I wonder if our FS's quit or retired and that's the real reason we are still waiting lmao..

Sure did, they got the wrong guy similar name. Since just waiting for a Flight Surgeon to stamp my medical packet. Looks like I am going DOD boys.
We are all waiting for that stamp of approval.. lol DOD is good for the mean time but boring as hell usually. Where I'm at we get only 50-100 ops a day and I feel like I'm stealing from the government with all this youtubing and amazon prime movies I'm watching lol.

By the time I get a list I'd prolly forget how to control by then lol...

Cute. Not uncommon for us to do 150/hr and most hours we do 100+/hr ?
Yeah, you guys get it. I’m surprised that’s a contract tower.

We average 200 or so a day. 500-600 isn’t uncommon on weekends. Single runway too. It’s fun sometimes and an utter bore other times.

BUT my last facility we averaged 70 a day lol seen both sides of it and the 70/day is a draaaaaaag. What’s crazy is we’re gonna do 360k ops this year, 5k less than LGA, 22nd busiest facility in the country, and I’ll still get level 5-6 facilities on my list ??‍♂️ But that’s the fun of it I guess, get checked out as quickly as possible and move up the ranks.

What facility are you at RT? It’s been a couple years but I remember a guy with a cto from one of the busier contract towers in AZ get a bunch of 8’s.

If I had to guess, it sounds like he’s at Mesa or Goodyear. But it’s one of the Serco towers in Arizona for sure

Yeah, for the longest time IWA held the crown but at our six month mark, we are 25k ops ahead of them sitting at 181k. I’m at HWO down in south Florida. Eleven flight training schools, banner operations, tour helicopters, news helicopters, you fucking name it. It’s a nightmare. And we’re bordered by FLL and MIA to make matters worse. There’s no shit an airport every five miles.

Six month traffic count for FCTs
