Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-19-ATCEXP-61675

What region, South West? I see people there are 4-5 months wait

Yeah, I'm in Texas. Last thing they sent me was wanting me to confirm my dates for my drug test, physical and MMPI-2. Haven't gotten any other emails.

The CIL email said don't call inside 45 days from the physical about the results, but it's still nerve wracking.

I would just shoot your HR POC an email. I did and found out I am playing the "wait until a flight doc has time" game due to some stuff in my medical history.

I received this same list yesterday, except mine had ABQ on there. My number 1 is ELP, and ABQ #2.. I was hoping for some facilities in AZ.
I had Tucson approach control and Tucson tower on my list. I listed them #1 and 2 ended up getting my #3 Amarillo Texas... lol either way I'm not complaining but I do enjoy AZ a lot.

Got my list Wednesday of last week, survey to input preference rankings closed monday night, assignment Tuesday afternoon.

Im going to Portland Maine, my #1!

Show up dates are Oct 27, Nov 10, and Nov 27. Probably going to take the October one.

What pay do we start at? The lowest available D, correct?
It’s the lowest D-pay band.
I always heard it was the bottom of the lowest D pay band but, when I got my FOL my annual salary was showing as the TOP of the lowest D pay band.
So basically for me it was the top of D2, which was a nice surprise.

PWM doesnt have a D1, so looks like I will be starting D2 pay, 67k.

Plus add in GI bill, which is like an extra 2k a month for E5 with dependants rate.

I hate apartment hunting so much. Such a pain to find a place that allows dogs and has a garage.

Oh wow. I haven’t gotten my fol yet, but is that to be expected for everyone in the prior exp bid, to start at the top of the lowest D band?

I always assumed it was the bottom of the lowest D Payband but my FOL had the salary for the TOP of the lowest D Payband.

I had a question about how they pick your facility from your preference list I got a Waterloo IA, I had waterloo in the 20s on my preference list. I was just wondering how I would get that when I had a bunch of places that need Manning way before that?
Random ATO selection.

Everybody gets paid starting at base of D2 for the prior experience bids. Shoukd show on your FOL and that salary amount is inclusive of locality rate.
I used the pay table chart that they sent me when I got my list and it the base salary matches up to the top of D2 pay band for a level 7. A friend of mine is at D1, not sure whether he’s at the top or bottom, at N90 so not everyone starts at D2 off prior experience bids.
I’m not complaining, I just wanna know if they messed up and I’d have to pay it back. 1C2CB28B-5583-4721-B063-A82D5DE8394F.jpegCBB11EFF-D55E-4712-BA13-156AFBF0B122.jpeg

it’s the lowest developmental band at the facility.

You’re not the first person who’s said they were given top of the band though, which is strange. I’m assuming no other fed experience? Ask the HR person, I’d be interested to hear

I’ll try to call and ask HR tomorrow. Wouldn’t want to have to go months getting over paid then have to pay it back, had to deal with that headache in the AF after tech school..

I am pretty sure previous experience as a controller in the Air Force means you start at D1 or 2... A guy I went to the academy with was a controller in the AF and started at an upgraded pay when he moved to his facility and I started on the AG band.

This has long been answered. It’s black and white.

Got my FOL today. Bottom of D2 (KPWM, no D1). Solid chunk of cash, plus my GI bill should bring in 2k extra a month tax free, until I finish training.

Was that on an N90 direct bid? Cause that my be different.
