When you guys took the MMPI, did they offer a tour? Did you set it up ahead of time? I'm taking it in 2 days, and I really want to visit the center

I would call/email ahead of time. It’s a lot easier to facilitate that when it’s planned as opposed to on the spot.

My proctor said that when he was applying he was offered a tour, so now he always offers tours. Got to see the CLT tower and TRACON. I would just email your proctor and see what they say.

I must have had the same proctor, I also took the MMPI-2 at CLT and he told me the same thing! It was nice to see it.

Did you take it the day after thanksgiving? The parking deck the instructions told me to drive through was physically blocked off, but when I brought it up to him he said I was the only person that mentioned it and I was his third appointment that day. But he was super nice and the tour was awesome. I was honestly really surprised that the tracon and tower weren't bigger.

Nah, I took mine in December. His instructions to get there were great for me, I think maybe there were some temporary changes around Thanksgiving for the holiday traffic.

I was a bit surprised at the sizes too!

For those that haven't received anything since the confirmation of a TOL, my POC today said many CILs will be going out this week with the last batch finishing up this month to possibly next month.

Haha, my AME was a funny guy. I told him I had a degree in Biology early on and so he started referring to any body part in anatomically correct lingo. He asked about tattoos and I was like, "Yep, I have a **** on right posterior medial malleolus." He was like, "Ooo, can I see?" So I showed him. He said it was something that was asked on the form, but I don't know if they will always ask to see them.

So what you're saying here is that I will have another opportunity to make eye contact with a stranger and remove my pants without breaking eye contact or cracking a smile! Neat!

In other news, I'm considering moving out of my home and into my automobile (that I rebuilt for car camping in the mountains a while back). This would allow me to save up some cash, pay off my credit card, and have my home rented out before I start at the academy. It would also give me the freedom to go see my cousin before she goes in for the big sleep.
How big of a hassle would it be for me to be a few thousand miles away from home with regards to the clearance information letter? Is it easy enough to take the MMPI/medical/fingerprints in another state? Should I email HR? should I just do what I'm going to do and STFU about it?

I was told by the MMPI proctor that it could be done anywhere. I wasn't able to actually schedule it while I was visiting family in Florida because I never got a call back. You're given a list of places you can go to and it doesn't matter which one you go to.

Sending an email would not hurt, especially if your class date is coming up soon. I got a start date 12/20 and the FOL on 12/23.

1. It all depends on your AME. Mine didn't seem to demand to see the tattoo.
2. You can do everything for CIL wherever. You'll just have to schedule your MMPI-2 and Medical/Drug test a week or two in advance and be able to show up for them wherever you pick.

I scheduled my medical but nothing was mentioned about scheduling a drug test yet. Will MedXpress mention it?
