Security Clearance Information

Hey all, so over the past 10 years I've worked as an extra on TV and film projects, probably close to 100 productions, how would I list this on the employment page? I don't have actual addresses or dates or each production I've worked on as it was a side gig I did in addition to my regular job.

Theres a box at the bottom of each section that you can add additional information to. Just explain it in there. I'm sure they'll ask for additional clarification come your interview, but thats probably the best way to go about it.

I was written up at a previous job for "Sexual Harrassment" over 2 years ago. I essentially called someone a name jokingly (was common in my workplace) and a 3rd party complained. HR recommended I be suspended for a day, which my boss chose to do on a day I wasn't already scheduled to work.

What are the chances of not passing the background due to that?

I honestly don't remember the name I used as I have grown from the situation and put it behind me. That was my only write up in 7 years with that company and haven't received anything since then either.

If that’s the only time it’s ever happened you are already selling it the right way. Not sure of how it could effect the outcome.

Yup. The only write up I've ever received. I've tried searching this website but couldn't find anyone post about a similar situation. I appreciate the reply.

Hello, I have a question regarding the hiring process. I submitted my security docs today. I was arrested almost 7 years ago for simple battery (misdemeanor in FL) at a music festival in my hometown. I was intoxicated during my actions. My case was dismissed and the charge was dropped. I disclosed the information on the E-QIP. Will I get disqualified? This has me very nervous.

The process isn’t black and white, each investigation is done on a case by case basis so it’s hard to tell what might and might not be disqualifying. Having the charges dropped will probably work in your favor, but the fact that it was originally an alcohol related incident could be a red flag for the FAA. Best bet is to just be as open and honest and possible and ride out the process.

Thank you for your feedback. I will have my fingers crossed.

Received a Tentative Job Offer. When I filled out the security form on the question "In the last 7 years have you been convicted of a crime?" I answered no.

I actually had been charged with two DUI's, the first one was dropped to a Neg 1 and the second 1 is in a diversion program right now and will be dropped to a Neg 1 in September.

I answered no. I just was going to fast and really wasn't thinking Neg 1 when I was thinking Crime. I was thinking murder, assault, burglary etc... I just didn't even consider or think about my DUI/Neg 1.

Now they do not want to give a provisional clearance. They want to do a full blown investigation which apparently can take months. I have nothing to hide and do not mind the delay at all. However the manager that wants to hire me seemed concerned that his/her boss would not want that position vacant that long, almost insinuating that the offer may get pulled.

So where do you think I stand in regards to the background check and can they withdraw the offer when its their own processes that are causing the delay?

By The Way just went over 30 years with the government so its a transfer.

Sir, this is an ATC site.

In any case, no matter what agency it is, I'm not sure why you're surprised the provisional was revoked. A provisional is for checks w/o any red flags. You have 2 DUI's and "lied" on the SF. Depending on the position either of those could be grounds for rejection.

If I was sued for a debt that dismissed without prejudice by the debt collectors and is no longer on the credit report, would I need to disclose that?

Pretty sure there's also questions about arrests(regardless of conviction). Hope you're a power bottom.

Anyone know how to find your previous background packets? HR? I tried eQuip or whatever page and my initial hire one isn’t on there. I wanted to have a paper copy again but my saved PDF is on my laptop that isn’t running right now.
