I don’t think I’m getting furloughed for the record. I’m just wondering why I’m paying for a union that thinks I’m non essential and doesn’t tell me anything during a pandemic. At least the training manager checks in once every 6 weeks.Last I checked it was around 4k in training. Not counting management that's about 25%.
Separate note, if any believes furlough will be a thing theyre retarded. Word I'm getting is training will continue at ATM discretion, traffic levels at the beginning of training will be considered the new norm for training purposes.
The FAA a few months ago was dealing with a self-professed employee shortage. Any concept of cutting people for a short term pandemic would be egg in the face as soon as a year from the furlough. Believe it or not management has a strong survival instinct as well.
those emails form national about getting training suspended longer almost seem congratulatory ?
