This makes sense. Is this just to make sure people don’t fail to recert so they can get out of a bad facility? Make the options worse or something?

I definitely am. Almost a three month vacation. I’m gonna up my PAC contributions!I just hope everyone is taking note of what their union is doing for them as a trainee...

Since they won’t.........I’ll start laughing now.We will see if you're laughing when the furlough notices start flying
If that many people are ahead of you then your just gonna be delayed by however long this lasts still.Well damn boys looks like the gravy train is over. I take it this means back to normal scheds for just about everyone.
In a happy note, Back to Tra...... Wait it's still gonna be a year plus before I start my next stage of training. I honestly doubt this had much of an appreciable difference in my training time overall.

Yeah, I'd really fucking hate several months off work paid. Meanwhile we're going to be transitioning back to normal schedules while "high risk" people and trainees continue to ride the gravy train and take vacations and party and shit.
They just bitch about everything, its ok they have a bunch of paid free time on their handsBased on what the trainees on this thread are saying, it's anything but the gravy train.

Well since I’ve been in the Agency more than 2 years, know how to read the CBA, and know how furloughs and RIF works, I’m not too concerned. Keep trolling though. It’ll make you look tough to the 300 people below you in seniorityWe will see if you're laughing when the furlough notices start flying
i dunno i mean they are getting screwed out of 1000s of dollars of raises and diffs which is hard to even fathom when you start adding up lost TSP contributions, etc over the life of their careers. I see the anger.

Did you get furloughed in 2013?Oh yes. The almighty CBA which for the past 3ish months has been virtually useless and kicked to the curb. Please. Also, there are far more than 300 people below me in seniority in the agency.
He hasn’t been around that long!Did you get furloughed in 2013?
YOU RUINED THE POINT I WAS TRYING TO MAKE.He hasn’t been around that long!
I was furloughed and still grumpy about it. That’s why I take advantage of shutdowns when I can. (Not banging in sick either lol)
