What do you think has a bigger chance of happening, all facilities going back to 5 and 2 soon with training or 5 on 10 off again for the winter with a continued suspension of OJT?
Here’s your update...some prefer to earn their money honestly and you cant fault those people. I know NYers get a bad rep but I’ve never had an issue when traveling up there - but I’ve also never been to LI. Regardless, though, the concern that nobody is being communicated with and the increasing fear that natca doesn’t care the staffing is only getting worse is a real concern for those that doesn’t have an essential status.

Oh, you mean the virus that has a fatality rate of 0.0092% for those between 20-49 which is where the overwhelming majority of controllers fall into? And the virus that will likely never be eradicated and will return yearly like the flu? Yeah, may as well never train again. Here’s your update...
COVID-19 is spreading quickly and we are trying to reduce the possibility of negative health effects on our members while balancing the needs and demands of the National Airspace System. We have taken great measures, through great negotiations, with the agency to reduce staffing numbers to minimize risks for our members. Unfortunately, this may affect the ability of some members to train and potentially get raises. Know that this decision wasn’t taken lightly, but was taken with the best interests of everyone’s health and the needs of the NAS. We will communicate with you as soon as we are able to and help you further your careers. For now, stay safe.
Is that similar to what you want to hear?
This chart is awesome, shows the teacher unions own the politicians not wanting to get their lazy asses back to school to teach when the kids have a lower death rate then at least 100 other childhood diseases.Oh, you mean the virus that has a fatality rate of 0.0092% for those between 20-49 which is where the overwhelming majority of controllers fall into? Is that a national email? I assume it is, maybe customized to whatever state you live in.Im expecting an email in the future wanting us to email our senators to stop the ATC furlough.
When you said that I guessed I.M Pei and then looked it up. I'm an architect by schooling so I know of the guy but I didn't know he designed some FAA towers until now. I mean, everyone knows The Louvre and BOC in HK but I really didn't know about the ATC towers. Shoulda been some Frank Lloyd Wright towers too. One of my professors lived in a FLW. I hope to own one some day.Our tower is one of the old ones designed by that Chinese guy that just died. It’s ventilation system moves a ton of air and pulls 10% from the outside so I feel like it’s kinda safe to be up there with others but who knows.
What happens to the NAS when an Atlanta, Chicago, New York, et cetera facility goes down for an extended period of time due to mass sickness going through the building especially when you were able to minimize the potential staffing damage? I’m not talking potential deaths, just illness, since you don’t believe that deaths are that great or important. It would be like the Chicago Center fire occurring all over again. Entire sections of the country would not be able to provide ATC services. Reducing staffing is the safest option currently for the employees and the employer’s ability to provide a necessary national service.Oh, you mean the virus that has a fatality rate of 0.0092% for those between 20-49 which is where the overwhelming majority of controllers fall into? COVID is a mass exaggeration or maybe even a outright lie, you sir, are a paranoid schizophrenic who maybe should not even have a medical. What happens to the NAS when an Atlanta, Chicago, New York, et cetera facility goes down for an extended period of time due to mass sickness going through the building especially when you were able to minimize the potential staffing damage? Okay, can I get a medical retirement, please?COVID is a mass exaggeration or maybe even a outright lie, you sir, are a paranoid schizophrenic who maybe should not even have a medical.
95% of COCs cdont even wear masks and they don’t stay at home on the 5 off. So it’s pretty dumb to blame it on a couple trainees that could be working in a lab on the other side of the buildingWhat happens to the NAS when an Atlanta, Chicago, New York, et cetera facility goes down for an extended period of time due to mass sickness going through the building especially when you were able to minimize the potential staffing damage? This right here is why everyone should take the 60 seconds required and fill out the form. All it takes is your name, facility, and address. These were the guy/girls/student pilots who were bringing us food during the 35 days we were not getting paid and who constantly advocated for us at every step of the way.Oh and let’s not forget that ALPA lobbied for us during the shutdown. I have no problem with NATCA returning the favor.
Trust me ALPA highly informs their membership in training. This right here is why everyone should take the 60 seconds required and fill out the form. All it takes is your name, facility, and address. I think you replied to the wrong person lol, but yes I know they do. For a minute though I don't give a fuck about NATCA, only the pilots who supported us during our shutdown who are now facing furloughs/firings/RIF's/etc... If it takes 60 seconds to fill out a form or 20 minutes for me to make a phone call or two tomorrow, you bet I am doing it.Trust me ALPA highly informs their membership in training.
I support the pilots. I don’t support natca national sending email after email without address the thousands of trainees that they representI think you replied to the wrong person lol, but yes I know they do.
