Another National NATCA email just went out and, surprise surprise, not one mention of training or trainees anywhere. The airline employees got yet another shout out though! Pilots are literally getting more attention from the union than trainees.

You didn’t even address the first part of my post. Do you want them to just tell you they have no updates? You guys obviously aren’t getting training any time soon, so what do you want from these communications?

Oh yeah, a “we stand with trainees and understand the challenges they face during this time” statement would have been completely inappropriate... A statement standing with the airline brothers and sisters is totally fine though!

Even putting the training/not training discussion aside, it’s the complete and total refusal to even acknowledge the situation that’s the biggest issue at this point. They have literally said NOTHING. In 5 months. During the event that’s had the single greatest impact on training in FAA history.

They have a training workgroup that is allegedly making recommendations. How bout start there and share their findings. Or what criteria they are looking for. You know transparency.

How are the AG natca members in Oakland or Pali alto doing. Should we do a natca go fund me for them?

they can explain why we can’t use the lab procedures they are using in Oklahoma in our local labs

While it’s sad the guy died, it said he was 66 and died of COVID “complications” which means he most likely had underlying conditions. He is literally the only NATCA/ATC related “coronavirus” death they’ve had in 5 months of this. How many current/former controllers have died from car crashes in that same time? How about heart attacks? Again it’s sad he died but if the union tries to exploit his death as some rationale for continuing the longest training hold in history, they’re out of their minds.

Anyone else just see blah blah blah everytime they read this guys post? I think your 1,000th post saying the EXACT same thing has started to water down the message.

That’s fair. I honestly don’t know what the answer is but I got a bit triggered seeing that email about the guy dying and then seeing you guys come in with “no training update” as the takeaway.
