When you scan your badge to get into the facility and it won't let you inSo when are furloughs happening?
I started a second job a few weeks ago and I can’t explain how much I miss 40 minute breaks and straight 8s. #BestJobInTheWorldAll this talk of furloughs is bull shit, where did it even come from? No new information to support it. Unfortunately if OJTI don’t start within a month or so though they will table it until the spring. So there might be big news regarding that soon. But then the trainees can just keep sitting at home, they won’t get “furloughed”. At least they will know what situation they are in for months and can get a second job in the meantime, double dip. If anyone says “you can’t do that on excused leave time” tell them to fuck off and if they don’t like it get you back in the building to train.
I have to deal with the general public, and somehow feel guilty for having to take a day off I was scheduled for. Gotta love retailI started a second job a few weeks ago and I can’t explain how much I miss 40 minute breaks and straight 8s. #BestJobInTheWorld
How can it be a scam if it's in the contract? Are your breaks scams? Is trying to take my earned leave during these schedules a scam? People shouldn't be taking leave when we have these 5/5 schedules ruining it for everyone.CaptainObvious you seem really nice. Really enhance the forum with the nasty little one off fuckboi comments. you scammed a hardship after whining like a baby about transferring and youre still a miserable bitch! pshhh, some people
There are pretty clear guidelines in the contract as to why a hardship should get approved, and there have been plenty that have been approved outside of the guidelines. But if it meets those criteria how can it be a scam? He launched that attack and ghosted. Not altogether unexpected though. There are pretty clear guidelines in the contract as to why a hardship should get approved, and there have been plenty that have been approved outside of the guidelines. If it's within the guidelines it's not a scam. But I have seen people try to force a situation to fall within the guidelines and it was definitely a scam. For example a spouse didn't want to move to a location so they tried going the route of being the sole caregivers of their parents to move to a more desirable location. It never got approved but it was a scam from the get go.But if it meets those criteria how can it be a scam? He launched that attack and ghosted. Not altogether unexpected though.
But you referenced being approved out of guidelines and that case obviously was beaten down. It’s easy for everyone to throw shade and toss the scam term out there, but unless it’s your specific situation, there’s really no point in getting worked up about what someone else is doing. If you can meet the criteria to get approved then do it, not tear down your colleagues based on what they are doing or going through. And for the ones that get approved outside of the criteria, the FAA and NATCA both sign off on it, so be mad at them and not the person who simply asked for something. If it's within the guidelines it's not a scam. I don't get upset or bothered if it's approved or not approved. I have hardshipped myself so it would be hypocritical of me to get bothered by someone else's hardship. But you referenced being approved out of guidelines and that case obviously was beaten down. Controllers like to tear each other down instead of questioning the batshit insane placement process that causes 75% of theseI don't get upset or bothered if it's approved or not approved. I have hardshipped myself so it would be hypocritical of me to get bothered by someone else's hardship.
I think people have the idea that if you are using the first qualification for hardship then a person should have some life debilitating disease that requires them to be seen by a specialist. Technically all those allergy hardship from ZOA still fit in that category.
That’s a fairly absolute statement. I know plenty of controllers who are being very cautious right now. Way more than aren’t. Sure some assholes are being careless but you can’t do shit about that.5/5 in it of itself is a freaking scam dude. Nobody gives a shit about the virus or else you wouldn’t have people running to bars, or taking road trips on their 5 off. The FAA needs to tell the union to take a hike, go back to normal schedules, and restart training. 5 months of this shit is ridiculous. If anyone doesn’t wanna work, they can find a new job.
Been answered a thousand times already give your balls a tug and do itSo what the consensus on working for uber eats or door dash if you're a cpc-it on excused? Are we allowed to "legally". I know i would have to do a 1099 at the end of the year and idk if the faa would frown about that... is anyone doing it on excused?
The 1099 shouldn't matter. It doesn't say what hours you worked, only that you worked. For all they know you only slept 6 hours a night, did your 8 hours of excused and worked the rest of the hours of the day.So what the consensus on working for uber eats or door dash if you're a cpc-it on excused? I was just talking to my wife about wishing we owned since I’d have lots of extra time to do shit with this schedule. Discount on hardware would be a bonus.Lowe’s is hiring then you can get discounts to knock out projects over the next year while we continue not to train
