There aren’t enough electors to do it correctly. You have to add reps to states to even out the electing power of the least populated state. The house was always supposed to be proportional per the constitution that you like the cite

Correct, the House, not the electoral college. Why do you think there are not electors to do it correctly? There exists an intricate system of balance.

Another argument usually made by the founders was the lack of informed voters which would make a poor direct democracy, in the world of fake news, foreign meddling, and media manipulation that by itself should be good enough reason not to institute direct democracy.

Either way the election goes some portion of the population will always be unhappy. Now if people want to institute real change term limits in Congress would go a long way. Referencing the tax deferments, it was mentioned on the last Regional call about a week ago, the Legislative Rep explained it and asked if anyone had questions with a "drop of the pin" sound following.

Yah so it makes sense to have the least amount of people unhappy. Then the guy is like surprised so many people complain about him. He’s not exactly ruling from a mandate

First off he is a politician, any and every politician has done that since the start of recorded history. Second, by your own statement that is the essence of "mob rule," to keep the people happy. People are happy when they are at their most ignorant, this is Sociology 101.

Like what are you talking about m8. Elections the guy that gets more votes wins. It’s pretty standard practice. No one bitches about the small counties not getting a say in govenor
