Nonetheless, this can’t be good with restarting facility training. If our president is susceptible to COVID, now we all are!

I always laugh when I see this bit of revisionist history.

Obama signed two bills that had riders of pro-gun initiatives in them, not stand-alone bills, and they’re pretty tame (checked guns on Amtrak trains, which is ridiculous to think you couldn’t think do it before, and allowing CCW in National parks).

At the same time, the federal agencies under his employ in the executive branch banned 7n6 ammo imports, banned the reimportation of surplus WW2 guns, banned the importation of newly manufacturered Russian guns, reclassified suppressor tubes as one-time NFA items instead of the serial (meaning if one gets destroyed in an accident, the manufacturer can’t just stamp a new tube with the old serial as a warranty replacement, you have to go through the whole process again), tried to ban m855 ammo, reclassified arm braces as SBR-manufacturing devices (though that was reversed), and tried to ban people who receive social security payments but have someone else manage their money from owning guns, despite these people not having any kind of medical diagnosis (the ACLU and multiple mental health organizations were against him on this, and Trump repealed it with an executive order soon after taking office).

[edit, forgot a few]Reclassified 40mm chalk practice rounds as explosives, and made suppressor internals be treated the same as suppressors themselves, meaning you can’t buy a replacement single baffle or wipe for a can if one gets damaged.

Trump’s no friend of gun rights for reasons mentioned in this thread, but it’s ridiculous to see how everything Obama did is memory-holed.

Its funny how people assume that you cant vote for trump if your pro gun because he did some unconstitutional gun orders. Right now I would take Trump any day over Biden and his lead on gun control Beto "hell yes we will take your AR-15's" O'Rourke .

That’s my dilemma this election. I couldn’t bring myself to vote for trump last time and voted third party, but Clinton was running on “universal background checks” and “red flag” laws.

I never dreamed I’d be a Trump voter, ever, but there’s a clear threat to gun rights this election that didn’t exist the last one, and that threat is pushing me to do what I didn’t want to do last time in the voting booth.

I dont think the left realizes how many more votes they could have if they weren’t pushing this type of gun control. Especially with the current climate and defund the police push.

There’s no manipulation. Some of us in the gun community remember what it was like from 94-04 under the “assault weapons ban”. Prices got out of control and availability was low. Never again. If you want it, buy it before Democrat’s take the WH, house and senate Bc they all want to reinstate the 94 AWB that was allowed to sunset, even though the FBI states the AWB had no measurable impact on crime

Exactly, I don’t go panic buy before every election. I already have the semi auto rifles/shotguns/handguns I want and a healthy stock pile of ammo, not to mention a handful of evil sound suppressors. They call me a gun nut because I keep over 1k rounds for every caliber I own while they try and ban ammo sales and serialize bullets and casings lol.
