I had minimum wage jobs that offered a 401k why would you put money in a 401k just because its offered to you, and again 40% of people don't even get offered one, so more than half the country
 
one of my buddies married a foreigner and brought em over here 5 years ago, the wife started working at a low skill assembly job and still barely speaks any English and has a decent chunk of change in her 401k

the fact of the matter is people generally arent smart with their money, and there are always ways to be smarter with your money to save more

Literally ignoring that someone getting paid minimum wage and is offered one CANT contribute even if they'd like to, can't be smart with money when you don't have money to invest???????????

Ignore the fact that a minimum wage job can't cover rent ANYWHERE for a 1 bedroom apartment.

It doesn’t matter whether or not they can. Trump made the assertion that people are fine because a small portion of them have retirement accounts are fine. Most people don’t have those accounts. They should, but this isn’t an accurate way to measure anything.

when did I say anything about minimum wage? minimum wage needs to go up i agree

what I am saying is that, generally, there are ways for the average joe to be more strict/frugal about their budget. do they really need a new phone, do they need a new car, do they need new shoes etc. can these hidden savings be used for other things?
