Point is that if he had listened to medical experts only the economy would have entirely tanked instead of only partially. But the virus would have been contained and it would look like a massive over reaction. It was a no win period. And the mask thing I really do believe was as simple as trying to protect supply for the medical field that needed them initially. I believe that cause it was the medical experts that said it. And Trump had nothing to do with the broke ass stimulus bill. Congress controls that. I'm not a big Trump fan myself but he's been the only one willing to budge on stimulus 2.0. Skeletor Nancy is quibbling over a few hundred billion at this point in an effort to stall it til January. Turtle fuck mitch is just a cheap ass bastard who is entirely disconnected from the reality of unemployment. Trump though.... 1.5 sure. 1.8 sure. 1.9 sure. Guys I don't actually give a shit what the number is just give me something to sign.

I mean New Zealand and Australia are still kicking after doing hard shutdowns for weeks, and I'd rather us have been shut down for a month than this shit show for the last seven months
 
So what? Martial law? Cause that's what it would take for the president to actually shut down the country and tell states that their rights don't matter. He put it on the governors which my one man small opinion is the exact right thing to do. Blame them! Or is GOD Cuomo and GOD Newsom just completely absolved of their own wrong in all this? I mean yes, the mask thing early onwas a supply thing. After about a month or so, not so much, and there's no excuse for not doing anything about it once supply wasn't an issue. In fact I'd go so far as to say he's made matters worse on that front by ridiculing people for wearing masks, including his opponent like a day before he got the Rona.

As to the rest of your points, I think the entire rest of the globes response, and overwhelmingly better results show me you are wrong about the US response. We have 5 percent of the population and like 20 plus percent of the deaths and cases--in the wealthiest "greatest" nation on earth.

Out of curiosity why is Europe having more cases than we are currently if all those measures were effective as claimed? Im not sure what would have been enough but Europe has more cases than us per 100000 and apparently did it right.

We may be the wealthiest but we’re also the fattest. Covid kills more people with underlying conditions and unfortunately our country is full of unhealthy people. Makes sense we’d have more deaths.

Eh Id definitely like to see Yang in a cabinet position somewhere, I think he's a very smart dude, but honestly I'm kinda done with business dudes with no political experience whatsoever for the time being.

Not a 40 year insider is great, all about it, but I want some government leadership experience on the resume.

Fall resurgence. It gets colder in Europe sooner, driving people indoors. It'll get here too. All the legitimate science on the subject from experts pointed to this being a very strong possibility from the get go. They said, it'd come in waves and you are seeing it now.

Edit- as far as the fat thing, agree, it's almost like we had a certain first Lady get labeled a maoist or some shit for trying to institute a healthy eating and exercise program to teach kids good habits they'll carry on thru life.... Remind me what that was all about again? I still don't think that makes up for the huge disparity in cases though, but ya maybe added to the deaths, but again, not 15 percent though.
