Next ATC zero?

I don’t think people will scam this one. With the number of false positives out there, if you get a positive, then you will be mandated to use sick leave.
i don't see it listed in the newest email but I think if you are positive but asymptomatic you're on EA? I dunno. changes every week

Even if you don’t have symptoms you've still got it. Can’t imagine that changes much in the eyes of the FAA. Though if it makes sense it probably doesn’t work that way.

if that's the case, I can't figure out why all these people are running in to get a test 3 times a week, but to each his own.

That’s what the emergency sick leave is for. It will be scammed for sure. I already have a Covid test scheduled twice a week through the trial period, Jan 11.

I find this funny. Covid is a big enough deal to clean the tower but first we’re going to make you work in it for 8 hours.
Yeah, to be fair the positive notification happened during the shift, so they weren‘t going to send everyone home. Cleaning crews in the building within 6 hours of the positive employee going home.

Nice they landing uncontrolled?
I’d assume. A bunch of airlines moved their flights up and pushed early to not get stuck.

It sounds like the Agency is testing out a new level 3 cleaning procedure that will allow the controllers to remain in the operating areas while things are being cleaned. Anyone else hear this?

Yah. They are just trying to get the level 2 cleaning products which is just like wipes and spray be approved for level 3

Maybe we can get hazard pay for being exposed to dangerous chemicals.

It's weird that in some regards they are being overly cautious, but in others they completely drop the ball (like with cleaning)--- although it is the FAA. I'm 24 days off and 1 day in between thanks to the overly cautious policies. Had a sore throat on a Sunday, went to work. Next day I took sick (unrelated reasons), following day as I prepped to go to work, with sore throat and congestion (neither of which were unusual for me), I find out my roommate had a fever over the weekend, also has cough. Call work, head to get tested. Though my RT comes back negative immediately, I'm still mandated off from 10 days starting from symptom onset (Sunday). Meanwhile my wife and roommate also go to get tested. My wife comes back negative, my roommate's test gets lost. In the interim he finds out someone he spent time with tested positive. I go to work on a Tuesday at the conclusion of my 10 days. As I'm driving home that night, wife calls--- roommate tested positive. So another 14 days for me. I've retested twice since then, both came back negative. Waiting on results from roommates second test (since his symptoms are gone), but think we're all clear. Anyways... just thought I'd share my story.
