Hello,

I know there has been no activity under this thread for a while not - Was there any update on the negotiations for the purple/light blue book? Tia

It’s going to mediation and then arbitration because the FAA won’t agree to one dollar in pay increases.
Wow FAA is so damn cheap. Most other industries are receiving giant pay raises. Whatever happened to the “most union friendly administration”? Anyways.., now I don’t see any chance since Trump is going to be in power now.

The purple book proves there was no chance under the Biden administration either. At least not without an arbitration ruling. And who knows what NATCA is even asking for there. Maybe a 3% raise since they think that will given them a better chance to “win” lol.

I'll fall on this sword and say I was wrong... not yet at mediation or arbitration (but likely heading there). Highlights below are mine.

Sisters and Brothers,

Since our last update, the Parties have continued to remain in active bargaining, with all remaining issues from our focused negotiations currently on the table. Your negotiations team has been working diligently to draft counters to management proposals to keep the pace of these sessions moving.

As mentioned previously, we have concluded negotiations on the national Memoranda of Understanding that will be carried forward into the successor Agreement. In the last few weeks, we have been able to “tentatively agree upon” (TAU) four additional Articles, leaving eight Articles outstanding.

Of these last Articles, four have an economic component and have significant interconnectivity. We have been intentional on how to tackle these issues in order to facilitate progress. We are optimistic that the other four Articles, which are primarily industrial issues, can be TAU’d soon as well.

As always, we will continue to provide updates as best we can.

So, basically FAA not agreeing to any sort of pay increase. Smh

Hopefully they’re just like “look, you lost the election, we’re all fucked now anyway, just give us 25%”

It’s not NATCA if they’re not secretive about everything
Right meanwhile all of the real unions have every line item available and it’s being displayed on national news. NATCA loves its secrets so much it blindsided the members with an extension that wasn’t voted on. Imagine if they would have stepped up to the plate in 2021 we would all be in a better financial place but oh we got you 5/5 schedules back in 2020 be happy with that.

One of my friend who works in region x told me there was some union meeting yesterday. He told me there would be a vote on December 4 and if the members agree to the contracts then it will all be done before the new administration in January.
That will be interesting when the SSS giving you a verbal briefing is making more money than all of us plugging in. It’s going to get interesting for sure.
