I’m from the April 2017 prior experience bid and just got medically cleared I was never tier 2. Waiting on a facility list, who knows when that’ll come.

I also got picked up on that bid and no issues. I was supposed to get my list right after Christmas and we all know how that went. Still waiting! My HR rep is no help. She has no answers to when.

That's because she doesn't generate the lists. She gets the list from the ATO and then passes it on to you. When you respond to the list it goes back to the ATO who makes the facility selection. She's literally just the middle(wo)man.

I got the drug test refresh email this afternoon. I'm still pending both medical and security clearances... does anyone know if i'm good to go on both? Or just the medical portion?

Call HR and ask. I'm assuming if you got the drug refresh email you're good to go on both.

Just received an email that I am under a suitability adjudication review. Anyone have insight on timeframes or have gone through this?

what does that even mean?
From what I got from google it’s about making sure I’m suitable to work as a government employee. Little odd if you ask me, never heard anything like this. All I was told were there were unresolved issues that she will need to take a look at.

Have you pulled your credit report and made sure everything is accurate on it? Could be a credit issue. Or you may have had someone get in trouble using your identity. Plenty of possibilities, or just an error.

Credit is great and the report is accurate. Once I get more information hopefully I can clear it up, only been waiting 2 years what’s another month or 3.

Received my official medical clearance today from the Flight Surgeon. It states I was issued a "Special Consideration" for someone with "disqualifying medical conditions that do not compromise safety". They stressed that these clearances are given case-by-case, and they are not required to issue it.

Was debating disclosing the condition (seems quite minor in my personal opinion), but as i'm still pending security clearance i'll just update everyone when that is completed. Don't think i've seen this kind of medical cert on the forum before, thought i'd share.

Every time I thought i was done, a new, different flight surgeon would respond to my email and issue a new request on something else. At one point i could've sworn they were trying to get me to just give up.. but probably just CYA in retrospect?

It's kind of crazy how big a part of my life this has become for someone who is not employed with the FAA yet! Glad the hoop jumping portion is over.

# of unique documents submitted to the FAA: 38
# of dollars spent tracking down records and documentation: 1,500
# of hours spent satisfying medical's requests: 50

Finally getting that sweet sweet medical clearance: Priceless

Anybody in here have issues with driving records? They are requesting a 10 year record which Louisiana can not provide to me. They only go back 5 years. I have sent my 5 year record multple times and even sent a statement from the OMV saying 5 years is the most that they can go back but obviously that’s not good enough.
