Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-17-ALLSRCE-53474

I'm pool 2 but current CTI student, so they asked for my transcript to see which aviation classes I've taken, even though I'm not gonna skip basics

Weird, I received my confirmation on 12/29 and I received my EODS last Friday. Guessing order is random?

Maybe, what email address did they come from?

There were 3 emails, the first came from my recruiter directly saying congratulations for accepting the TOL.

The other 2 came from a no reply FAA mailbox. One contained a password and the other one had a username with a website URL to log in and fill out some pre employment forms. All pretty general items. There were also a couple of tabs with different generic information like rights and regulations at the academy. Nothing crazy exciting, yet!

I think it's a good idea not to skip Basics, so good choice. I took the Basics Assessment on the FAA's website just with my CTI knowledge (2 months after finishing my degree) and got a 70% the first time. I wanted to see how I'd do. I then studied using the info. they provide in your TOL (I think it's the TOL, it's been a few years) and then got an 88%. I was not happy with a 70%, nor the 88% so I continued to study and later got a 96% I believe, or maybe a 98%..? Any way, I recommend Basics just because it ended up being a breeze for me having been CTI and having studied via the FAA.gov stuff they provided. Side note: a lot of the questions are government worded questions where you'll be sitting there debating between two answers after ruling out the others and you could easily choose either one depending upon what they mean exactly with the question. You'll drive yourself crazy overthinking what answer they're looking for so my advice is to go with what you originally think. Don't "over think" the questions. It's so much easier said than done though. Bottom line: do Basics. It starts your seniority quicker, you start to get the hang of things and get some nerves out, and you have a chance to get to know your classmates, explore OKC and form study groups. Oh, and yes, I realize I'm trolling. Sometimes it's nice to peruse the other threads and see if the process is "still what it use to be." ;)

I don't believe basics counts for seniority at all. But that is a long debated topic.

Honestly I'm only worried about FARS, as everything else to me was very easy, but that's also because I didn't care at all about that class and just sat on my computer the entire time

For the rest of y'all.. be patient, but not too patient. This was a few years ago, but I figure I'll throw it out there: I received my TOL 12/02/14... I completed what needed to be done within a couple days and then waited patiently hoping I'd hear something before the holidays. Well, that didn't happen. I sent an email to my medical POC, security POC
and my HR rep. at the end of December to follow up. My HR rep didn't reply until 01/21/15 saying "I have received all of your clearances. As soon as I have a class date for you, I will contact you as soon as I can. Thank you." I waited about a week after receiving that response and decided to call. I received a class date over the phone when I called on 01/26/15. On 02/05/15 I received the "Air Traffic New Hire Welcome Packet." On 02/06/15 I then received my FOL and a separate email to complete EODS (3 emails within a couple of days).
From TOL to FOL it was a lil over 2 months. So, some of y'all are getting it WAY quicker than that, haha. Good luck to y'all.

Where could one find this basics assessment?
