Also found an interesting link that might be helpful to those too eager to wait until the academy to start learning. I know people say to wait and learn everything direct from them but I like to have a foundation to build off of and adjust to any differences that I may learn at the academy. Here’s the link. MJ what do you think of this source it’s dated 2015..

Diving straight into that order with no context or direction is probably the worst thing you can do.

That's not even the current version of the 7110. So there is little to no point in studying that. While the changes may be small, if you don't know what they are you could just be learning inaccurate information. There is nothing worse than trying to fix a bad habit. Just wait and learn at the Academy so you are doing it the correct way.

Like GBP said, that's an outdated link to the 7110.65. That document is legitimately the namesake for this site. It's the air traffic Bible. It's located here on the site 7110.65
@MJ will update it to the most recent update, the 7110.65X
For those waiting, go through the resource section of this site, everything you'll need can be found there.

By the way my status updated to not referred this morning. I am a previous ots hire who had to resign though so that may be why. Just food for thought. My wife and brother who also applied are still green.

From stuckmic "Apparently the first round of TOL’s went out to 1100 people and it was based only off of our ATSA scores. The next round will be based off of the amount of people who don’t accept their TOL and there will probably be one more round after that. No firm answer on any timeline just that it should be soon.

Information came from someone who works for the FAA in OKC."

If you absolutely cannot wait, here is the current version.

As far as sending out CILs, are they only sent out after all TOLs have been sent out and returned, or is it just whenever HR gets to you after you accept the TOL?

Both. They start sending out CIL but not at the same rate as the TOL went out to prevent overloading the background check process. At least thats what it has been for the previous bids, this bid has been a little different so far.

This bid is also half the size of last year so things seem to be moving a little quicker so far. Hope that trend continues!

Seems only like a handful of people received TOLs today. My hopes are dropping

This is how I'm feeling unfortunately. Oh well, it's my first time applying and I'm only 18 so I've got plenty of chances ahead of me! I just hope I get picked up this next round, that would be life changing.
