Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

Vets, have any of you had your documents from MilConnect accepted or denied? I sent out the SF180 form, but I have a feeling they're moving slow as molasses. Was wondering if I could beat them to it.

I'm a vet and haven't heard anything about submitting extra documents. Is it only for people with disability ratings?

I haven't been asked to submit any extra paperwork besides my va award.

It's amazing how much the prospect of me getting an FOL has drained me of caring about "going the extra mile" at my current job. I work a couple of on call shifts, and when a big problem comes up at 10PM I just keep looking at my TOL and reminding myself that Lord willing I don't ever have to come back to this type of work ever again.

Oh my gosh same. I'm currently managing a towing and auto transport company. Between the 3AM phone calls to pick up some meth heads car and the long haul drivers bitching at me about their load, I am SO ready for a schedule that isn't 24/7.

My problem has been that I wrapped up a contract two weeks after I got my TOL so I'm like...do I find another six month contract for work? It doesn't seem like it'll be six months, from here...as long as nothing screws up. But something is bound to screw up. Or is it?

Agreed. Enjoy your Sunday morning coffee and sit back and enjoy your life. I'm tired of obsessing over emails. It's kind of exhausting. I can't believe it takes a year to hire someone. All though I have to admit, it makes me feel good knowing they go through such great lengths to guarantee their candidates are the cream of the crop. Good luck to you all.

I will post here if they accept my milconnect docs. I sent the SF-180 in also, but that makes me nervous having zero visibility on the process. Just send a fax and hope they start working on it lol.

Yeah I did both. I hope my Medical POC accepts them and gives me a confirmation tomorrow.

I’m tired of it too lol. Like I can’t freaking wait til I (hopefully) get the call but I’ve given up trying to figure out how to move this along faster cause there’s just no way. But looking at class start dates and the fact that no one seems to have gotten any of the upcoming dates I’d like yet I’m assuming FOLs will start going out this week cause they’re soon? Just a liiiiitle more patience, it’ll pay off ?

Where can you see the class start dates listed?

This! But more than this, that "cream of the crop" goes to OKC and can fail. If they survive that, they can go to a facility and FAIL. I'm impressed and confused all at the same time that this process is so in depth and yet still doesn't quite nail it down.

here
I was looking at terminal basics cause that's the one I really want but there's a LOT more en route class dates

Thanks for posting this. Kind of puts it into perspective of when the FOL's might be coming out, and it def looks like people will start to be hearing and getting class dates soon. Haven't really seen a lot of chatter about people with class dates for enroute past 4/9, so I'm guessing they gotta be filling up soon. Looks like a new class every week.
