Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

I'd still double down on late Dec/early Jan on TOL's. Seems exactly like last year's timeline. Either way it doesn't matter, in the end, you either get one or you don't.

lol it feels like a 100% referral rate but:
1) People who post online about this are likely already a small % of the hiring pool
2) People who failed likely won't be posting about it even if they previously posted about this bid
True. We were the impatient nerds that went looking for an online forum. Hope all of us get to OKC!

TOLS are great and all but you guys still have to go through some of the longest parts yet right? Physical, MMPO, background check and THEN wait for academy dates.... right? Sorry last time I went through this process was awhile ago and I dont really remember.

Yes but there is no after unless you get that referral and TOL.

Definitely a very long process, but it's not that bad compared to other federal jobs. Seems like most here went to the academy within a year of their TOL. I know people in process with places like NSA, CIA, and FBI who would kill their mother to get a process that fast. Longest I've ever heard between TOL and FOL was over five years (CIA). A year or so is child's play.

God, I can’t wait until I’m 100% in the door so I can drop out of college, tell my job to suck it, and buy a pure bred dog named Toby.

Can confirm, it’s feels great. Don’t burn bridges though. Connections are always nice, and someone has to send you your tax stuff. Not enrolling for another semester was a HUGE relief. The dog will come when I certify and get a house lol.

Ummm your job still gets paperwork asking about you as a person. I wouldnt tell my job to suck it if I were you lol. All you past jobs will get it. Also dont do anything stupid aka make stupid purchases until you pass the academy. That's an obstacle in itself.
