Any update on the N90 bid hiring numbers?
Talked to Dean last month and he told me they had 550 applicants for the local n90 bid. Not sure how many were qualified out of that though.
Thanks! The number sounds a bit different than what Ive read elsewhere though. If I'm not mistaken, someone else said ~700 qualified. More importantly, I'm curious to know how many they're looking to take..
While we're waiting to get the email invites for the ATSA, I was wondering if anyone has downloaded and used the test prep software from actprep.com. I saw one or two others talk about using it in another older forum and claiming it was accurate and quality prep tool for the first four sections of the test, but I haven't seen any other mention of it by anyone else. Opinions?
That's why I want to get the software and start practicing asap, just don't want to get scammed. Was hoping someone else recently had used it. Don't have an iPad so that option is out.I've been lurking around here and reddit since applying. I can't speak for the actprep, but I have been using the ATSA Prep ipad app. My fiancé and I have made a competition out of it to see who can get the better scores. If the ATSA is anything like this I have learned that only practice and doing mental math problems will make you better.

I applied for the OTS Bid in July and I got the software. It's only $15 and I think that it's pretty useful. Most of the problems are easy to do once you practice it 2 or 3 times. The hardest one for me is the one with the moving dots while answering math questions. Just trying to get it perfectly right as fast as possible is tricky.
I recommend it.
Thats my mindset of it. Realistically, unless you have an actual invite and date to take the ATSAT, I wouldn't worry about it. I read over the post MJ made about what its like and i'm not worrying about it.Yall, it's an aptitude test, I understand wanting to practice but the test is based on whether or not you have the very basic ability to do ATC not whether or not you practiced the test beforehand. You can't practice your final evals in the academy.

I definitely understand it being an aptitude test, but my mindset is that the ATSA is highly competitive. If I can practice and increase my score by a few points that may very well be the difference between being able to move on or not. Whereas the final evals I would imagine aren't so competitive as they are simply pass or fail.Yall, it's an aptitude test, I understand wanting to practice but the test is based on whether or not you have the very basic ability to do ATC not whether or not you practiced the test beforehand. The Windows version on ATCPrep.com is essentially the same thing made by the same people. I feel like I have gotten my money worth with the app. That's why I want to get the software and start practicing asap, just don't want to get scammed. Was hoping someone else recently had used it. I'm not really worried about it either, I'm just bored as hell. Plus, would be nice to see what all the fuzz is about regarding that dot collision part
