Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

The latest one in the catalogue is 6/05 for terminal and 6/07 for en route. Not sure when they update it
It's here if you wanna take a look

Going off of 2018, it looks like they open up more classes every month. Maybe people received TOL mid-summer and took fall/winter classes.

Do they offer class dates in the summer/fall?

They offer class dates year round, but they’ll almost certainly deny a deferment of more than a month or two unless you have a REALLY good reason. The reason class dates only exist through June now is because the FAA fiscal year starts in summer, so late summer/fall dates haven’t been determined yet.

Seniority is everything in this job. Get in as fast as you can

I haven't received a TOL yet- I'd love to start sooner than later!

I'd assume things like finishing school would be a good reason, but wondering if things like a wedding or something would be.

They offered me April 2nd and April 15th and I told them I get back from a wedding april 18th and they had no problem giving me an April 22nd class date. They were really nice about it and seemed like they are willing to work with you of its within reason.

The fiscal year starts in October...

If my medical poc told me I cleared medical does that 100% mean I passed the MMPI? I’ve seen people some people say yes and some no. Also I already cleared security so was wondering why I haven’t been offered a date.

Just to add to the conversation from like 10 pages ago, me and a fellow classmate were told we were "best qualified" but haven't received TOLs yet. So that's a thing.
Also the HR lady said they're still keeping the list open and may send out more TOLs soon.
She also said there may be another bid soon. But who knows what "soon" means. lol

yes, MMPI is part of your medical clearance, as far as I'm aware

How do you find out who’s handling your case.
The coordinator should be the one who notified you of tier 2. Once your case is forwarded to tier 2 office it sits there until review. Then they notify your coordinator to contact you and set up the shrink appointment or gather more documents if needed. After the appointment the results are sent back to DC and they have the 45 days to review the findings and make a determination.

That is how the process was explained to me. I don't think there is any visibility on status while your case is in DC. My ATM program manager is going to some big conference at headquarters mid-April and going to ask the tier 2 office about my case and see what info he can get for me.
