Palate cleansing, what was the best band you ever saw live, not necessarily your favorite band but the one you left with just a sense of awe at what you just saw

Bush and STP 2 years ago at Jones Beach. Expected a packed venue but there was maybe 500 people. Front row of GA against the stage the whole concert. Gavin came down during his set and mingled with everyone and sang from the pit. It was freaking awesome. Before that it would have been Incubus and Deftones at Asbury Park.

I’ll give Foo Fighters an honorable mention. Most of their music I find meh but they are a great time live.

Best band live is tough. I’d probably say Slayer and have Gojira and Every Time I Die be honorable mentions. Then off in its own category is Dave Matthew’s band, love them or hate them no one can play their own songs so many different ways and still make it sound good. Not ashamed to admit I see them every year.

I don’t know how I forgot but Tom Petty is/was def among the top best concerts . Fortunately got to see him twice.

If you’ve never seen Muse live, I highly recommend it. I’ve seen them 4 times and they never fail to put on a show. It’s a full experience beyond a concert.

I’d love to see Muse. I started listening to them very late lol, but it’s my radio station on the streaming apps.

I remember Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold and Killswitch Engage putting on a good show back in the day. Anberlin was pretty good too for a different style from the others mentioned.
Killswitch and Avenged are really good. In that genre I’d say the best live is Disturbed and Bullet For My Valentine.

I forgot about seeing Bullet, they were really good as well. I was really disappointed with Disturbed overall. They were the headliner and Killswitch went on right before them and killed it.

I saw them at Red Rocks 2 years ago, and last year I flew to Phoenix and NY to see them on the Simulation Theory tour. Honestly, check out their multi-cam videos on YouTube. Doesn’t do the live experience 100% justice, but it is still a solid representation.

Iron Maiden from start to finish are crazy entertaining. Megadeth live was pretty intense too.

I missed out on seeing Mastodon live, but they're high priority next time they come around.

Gojira rules.

Puscifer about 6 years ago, they didnt have an opening band but a troop of luche libre mexican wrestlers. They would do wrestling matches between song sets. Between that and the music itself it was a pretty neat experience.
