Looks like it will pass today

You lose the social security supplement if you retire before minimum retirement age.

Ie 50 vs 56

If you move to support role it then goes up to 62 or 30 years(not sure)

I think we are exempt from the rest but other feds-(we are probably next)
3 to 5
Increased fers

Overall that’s better then what was projected.
Yeah down with social security and socialism-a bunch of government socialist service employees.

I think the unfortunate next step is talking about healthcare and equipment improving and getting rid of the 56 rule. People are living longer blah blah.. maybe it's 58, maybe it's 60, maybe it's 62, but the next step will be to make us stay longer while removing incentives for early retirement.

Agree 100%. I might like the sound of this compared to removing it completely however I am 15 years from 56. A lot of time for this to change again and disappear completely. I’m Jealous of people who are eligible to retire now before this goes into effect.

honestly this is a lot better than i expected. Which is a bit of a cope - which I hate doing. But this is a lot better than I expected.

I was going to be an even more bitter fuck if they increased my FERS percentage ...

What’s funny is less than half of controllers sent a simple message to congress to help with piling on our ask. But you can all come here and talk nonsense. It’s pathetic
Yep blame the rank and file while national proclaims how our leverage, the PAC, and the “natca majority” put us in such a great spot.

I’m not blaming anyone. I’m saying it takes 15 seconds to do an extra part and give us all a bigger voice. And if you don’t do it, you are just a lazy loser.

You won’t know what national is doing, all these deals are always done behind the scenes. These 3000 page bills are never out there on the media and in the public.

Send the email or just stfu entirely

I’m not denying more people should have sent an email, made a phone call, or attempted some form of contact. But to now blame the membership is the epitome of shitty leadership. The NEB is elected to lead and be the loud, visible face of NATCA. They’d all rather just cower in their hotel boardrooms and discuss what bar they should go to next or how they should funnel dues money to their kids’ sports team (looking at you clint you fucking walrus)

I don’t think the neb is blaming the membership. Nor am I. We are union, its power in numbers. Send the email or bitch about something else.
