About a year after they lost the TRACON when they count the numbers after 12 months of being a tower only.

When does the downgrade go into effect for transfers or new hires there?

Usually for people that get there after the level change its effective immediately, and people that are in training have 2 years to certify.

^ That is all true, what I mean is it won’t be effective for about a year, so anyone getting there now can still certify as a 7. Making it one of the better bang for the buck facilities. If you like the Midwest and a mid sized city it’s good, you will be doing low level 5 tower only traffic.
