Don’t Imagine for a second Whitaker listened to anyone. He imposed rules to fuck natca and show how impotent they are. He didn’t listen to anyone and he doesn’t care about anything, except making natca look foolish, which he did in spades. Of course he fucked himself because no 24/7 facility has the bodies to really run with these new rules.

The old rules and the rattler are shit, but it’s the best way to run with the least amount of people. He played himself there but also us, because it’s just more backfill OT, more 6 day weeks for the work force.

I think I remember the first announcement of the new rules came 1 day after a runway incursion at DCA - ground told someone to cross an intersecting but then forgot about it then the local apparently forgot about the coordination and rolled someone as they were in the process of crossing.

Someone from up high probably took a big shit on whitakers head and he in turn told NATCA to get on its knees and open its mouth wide so he could drop that smelly slimy deuce in.

Dumbasses who should have never been rated on their respective positions caused this. NATCA should protect good controllers, however, it sounds like many of the people involved in these incidents had 2nd 3rd and 4th training chances only because of NATCA.
