I mean there’s plenty of jobs out there where saying something when you get a class date is fine.

When I got my TOL I told my boss and they were happy but I also said if the FAA were to call and offer something I would be gone the next day but I was upfront through the whole process.

I didn’t get my class date for like 5 months after my TOL and the class date was two months from that day.

As for telling your boss 6 months? Who knows dude this process can go fast, slow, or in between… In a perfect world you could get a class date as soon as May or June or you may be on the back end of classes and it could be sometime in 2023.

Yeah, maybe we’re reading too much into this lol, but it does seem like those who composed a new email got confirmation updates. And those who replied to the TOL email are still waiting.

Not saying that’s how it is, but that’s what it feels like rn.

It's the government, if it makes sense, they'll do the opposite. If I remember correctly, they took 2 days to confirm receipt of my TOL, and then a few more days after that to get the EODS forms. If you think the confirmation is a long wait, wait til the period between submitting EODS forms and getting the CIL. With the rate all you guys are stressing out, I bet we'll be seeing posts about the security clearances taking months to clear and medical exam clearance updates... Look at my signature to get a good idea of how long everything takes

I composed a new email and still haven't heard back.
Perhaps we all have the same HR person and they are out of town lol... also OKC is being hit by some storm but who knows...

Most likely they are inundated with emails. I won’t be sending a follow up email until around day 13/14. I marked it on my calendar so I don’t forget to send a follow up email. That’s what they told us on the TOL email.
