Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-21-ALLSRCE-73599

literally the dumbest thing ever, a bar fight
Just be completely open and honest about it during the background investigation process. It might slow things down and you might not receive a provisional clearance, but if that’s all that’s on your record, I would presume you’ll still be fine.

Yeah, maybe we’re reading too much into this lol, but it does seem like those who composed a new email got confirmation updates. And those who replied to the TOL email are still waiting.

Not saying that’s how it is, but that’s what it feels like rn.
I composed a brand new email for them and I am still waiting to hear back.. I may need to send an email or call them up, but that’s just my experience.

The email literally says if you don't hear back in 14 days, then email them. Please don't contact them after 48 hours of waiting lol
The email also says, "Please return the above completed forms and/or documents within 5 calendar days via email."

Seems like they need to tighten up their contradictory wording because if someone sends their docs within 5 calendar days, don't hear anything and then reach out before the 14 days are up, guess what? Then, they would've not turned in their docs within the specified 5 calendar-day timeframe.

If you respond within five days you have nothing to worry about. If you email them on the 15th day and they say they didn’t receive it you can show them proof. Let’s not bombard them with more emails than they’re already getting

Yeah exactly. If you sent it to the right email, they have it. Otherwise, 1. they gave you the wrong email address or 2. they'll see it and see they haven't responded. Either way, you're fine.

For sure. Yeah, I'm not reaching out til it gets to that point.

Thanks for checking that out. ?
I took a look back in the 2020 bid thread (starting around page 60), and there were people discussing the same reply vs. new message thing. Both types eventually received confirmation, and it seemed like it took at least 3 days for most.

I guess if you're flipping burgers, sure.
well considering you get a class date normally 2-3 months prior to the actual class date I would feel like that is more than enough notice to give any profession. But hey who am I? I already went through the hiring process.

Don't they contact your current employer during your background investigation? So they would know well before that I would think lol.
Ya I told my former employer throughout the entire process I was merely stating it’s not necessarily bad to technically wait till two weeks to let them know you’re leaving. While I don’t recommend that it’s not technically wrong

I mean, that’s not necessarily true in every case. Back when I got a class date offer a few years back, they gave me 2 weeks. And this was back when you had to report to OKC for Basics. I asked for an extension and they pushed it back 1 more week. I was barely able to put in a 2 week notice at my job. Granted my case was probably unusual, but it does happen.

Lately they’ve being giving 4-5 weeks notice of your date. It’s been happening last couple months now. They haven’t even given out March dates and first March class starts 3/3.
