As an independent, I truly hope that all libtards and repubtards can join together in one mission. Tobsee to it that every future election from here on out sees every member of congress replaced entirely. Zero incumbent victories. Time for a much needed hard reset.
As a liberal I have my thoughts on why things are broken, specifically here and in general (hint: look at which party is holding things up because they want more financial support for the people and which party is holding things up because they want immunity for shitty employers). But. This is one of several areas where we could take lessons from the parliamentary systems—in some countries failure to pass a budget triggers an immediate dissolution of the current legislature and immediate elections. That makes a lot of sense.

Agreed, however it doesn't invalidate their point that, yes, in fact, factions of one side are holding it up because they want more assistance for those who need it most, and the other is holding it up because they want to enable shady people to do shitty things. Also doesn't invalidate thier point about constant squabbling over budgets not being due cause for new leadership being something we maybe need to look at.
The way I read it, it wasn't about blame, it was about the reasoning and morality behind the hold up.
But cool lets give lock the doors to my mega church in a biblical flood Joel Osteen another cool 4.4 mill I guess. That should definitely help.
