So hypothetically a working single mother, or an immunocompromised person, or really anyone at all to be honest, particularly someone barely making ends meet with little or no savings (which is over half the country mind you, according to multiple studies) should have to quit thier job, possibly forgoing any unemployment benefits in doing so in order to protect themselves from a sickness?
And do what in the mean time? Go to the soup kitchen? Magically materialize a job out of thin air? Hope that lotto ticket hits? All instead of encouraging employers to provide basic safety equipment and enforce basic safety standards under the possibility (not threat, not mandate, not codified law) that they may be sued if they fail to do so and someone gets sick?
Sounds more like giving cheap ass bullshit money hungry business owners more breathing room to be scumbags than it does enforcing any kind of socialist utopia, which frankly if you think enforcing basic public safety policies in a pandemic is a step towards the US becoming the soviet union..... I don't think you understand what the term socialist utopia means.
Moreover if you think a few scumbags possibly getting sued for being scumbags is going to collapse the economy any more than continuing this pandemic bullshit because morons refuse to take any kind of safety precautions and stop spreading it, that makes you a propoganda consuming moron as well. There is no economy without workers to do things and buy things with thier wages, but ya let's make sure the people taking advantage of that labor and reaping those corporate profits are protected above those workers. Capitalism baby ya sounds great. Work till you die, even if we make you die sooner, gotta protect that bottom line.
