Government Shutdown

They have a specific clause in their contract that in the event of a government shutdown, they can claim financial hardship and not show up. We need that in our contract.

I know its maybe semantics, but I think we basically have the same thing. Ours says we can take SL for "injury" that causes us to be incapacitated. That could very well be stress, financial hardships, family emergencies, etc. The fact the controllers have to maintain a medical i think makes it much easier to have a staffing emergency much quicker than a job that works in a cubicle.
