National training rep never trained confirmed, contract says shall not be required not that they shouldn’t. Wouldn’t expect him to know that though

He says he’s been a trainer? I mean the OJTI class is a joke. Though making an egg parachute to throw off the catwalk of the tower was kinda fun. My facreps at my 3 facilities have all trained…A lot. Sounds like an excuse.

On the ND side of things…how out of touch is this video!?!? My lord. Nobody gives 2 shits about the NTI. And if anything, their point is that it’s just an extension…..an extension….hmmmmm kinda like the Slate Book EXTENSION you were so adamantly for. Weird.

Yeah every fac rep I know has trained before.

National training rep never trained (while he was FacRep) confirmed. Fixed it for you as that is all that is "confirmed" in this post. I personally don't know anyone who became FacRep prior to becoming CPC so I would be surprised if he didn't have any OJTI experience AT ALL.

Another thing, why do we even care if Jamaal was chosen as the National Training Rep if his training time is low? Why is that a Jamaal problem? The anger over that decision should be on the people that selected him (and kept him) and not on Jamaal for getting appointed it.

Because the training rep should have a lot of experience training. IMO

I don't disagree, but again that's not Jamaal's problem that he was selected. Sure, he could have turned it down if he didn't feel like he was qualified enough, I'll give you that. But the issue to me should be about who selected him and their process for doing it, not on WHO they selected.

He applied for a job that he’s not qualified for and got it because he carried water for the Rinaldi/Trish administration. Don’t worry, I can be disgusted at everyone involved.

Fac reps shouldn't train if they can help it. Conflict of interest at a TRB. CIC is also a conflict of interest but that is less likely to be an issue (although I've seen a fac rep get into it with a CPC over something asked to do in CIC capacity).

It’s just another example in the we need to fix the direction of the detailers and collaborators

I think facreps should have the opportunity to train just like everyone else if they’re on the board that day. I don’t hate the idea. Yes they should represent the BUE but if someone sucks then they suck. If someone is good and they’re getting a bad shake from the training team it will be evident. The facrep having their finger on the pulse of the situation isn’t a bad idea.

Edit: thinking about it. Everyone we send to a TRB, labs or real time, gets recycled so what does it matter anyways.

TRB is about following the process not who trained you!

What’s your point? 12 Tracon it doesn’t matter who you are you’re going to get more hours and our supes are doing WORK documenting deficiencies
They might be doing it now, but I’m sure they haven’t during their whole training process. These sups are mostly lazy AF

I’m just saying no one’s gonna win a trb cus they said the rep trained them. But you’re right everyone gets hours now.
“Everyone gets hours now.”

Define now ?

I’ve seen people get training terminated this year at their first TRB multiple times. People have always gotten hours back when mgmt did a shitty job providing a good training environment for their trainees. You guys all talk about the quality of sups and then are surprised they didn’t do a good job overseeing training ? It’s not surprising.

Dont make random broad statements like that. They just don’t mean anything.
