Newark controller speaks out

“Stewart, who isn’t in the controllers’ union, said he is on track this year to earn over $450,000, including overtime. Highly skilled controllers deserve to make that much without grueling hours, he said.”

There is no way on earth that dude’s pulling in $450K as a OS. Pretty sure that number is virtually impossible for anyone.

40 hours of overtime a pay period will absolutely get you to that number. Working 6 10's every week would be a miserable life though
I can’t imagine there’s any facility where the FAA is authorizing 40 hrs of OT for supes in perpetuity. At my facility, they don’t even like them being held for 2.

We have unlimited ot. Sups too. And I think he’s counting the $100k incentive for the PHL move, because he only went permanent this year so he got it this year.

N90 controllers/OS/STMC will be at 500 possibly this year, if not then 2026. 25% CIP helps

25% CIP is the second biggest scam behind CRWG
Why don't you sign up for it then? I'm pretty sure they'll pick up anyone that volunteers for the EWR area!

Very fucking easy to talk from elsewhere about how much of a scam that is. You want that scam money, go there otherwise shut the fuck up.

The scam is that all of N90 and PHL gets it rather than just the people that were actually affected by the move. But it’s not permanent. It drops after a year I think to 15% and then back to 10% for N90 and whatever PHL was (I think like 2%?) after the second year
