They do, when a new facrep or president comes in they take it away. The threat of returning to the boards make sure nobody shares new ideasThey need to put term limits on these people.

I was told that NATCA is just trying to survive this administration. They aren’t bringing up anything to rock the boat. The question now is what is NATCA even fighting for? As far as I can tell they are only working on NATCA. Like the union is more important than the members now n
Also a good idea. How can someone with no currency represent the controllers to the agency in matters that require a SME.They should have to stay current. Let them do it at a sup 8hrs id you must.
Exactly. You cannot. Also a good idea. How can someone with no currency represent the controllers to the agency in matters that require a SME.

Tbf they are better off with a cpc plugged in then when they certify someone on the sector they are certified on.This is the same agency that thinks it’s fine to have the person certifying other people not be certified themselves on that position
Wait until I tell you about a supe in an area that no CPC would sign off on, so the other supes did it.This is the same agency that thinks it’s fine to have the person certifying other people not be certified themselves on that position

No OJTI gives a recommendation but the certify them anyway and then you’re stuck being in charge of that controller that shouldn’t be certified
I’ve seeeeent it
That’s a blatant violation of the most recent training order that requires supervisor + training team majorityThey do it with controllers too.

And absolutely fuck up an arrival stream/hose everyone downwind while getting “currency” too. This is the same agency that thinks it’s fine to have the person certifying other people not be certified themselves on that position
This is a norm these days. Management be doing shit and stuff. That’s a blatant violation of the most recent training order that requires supervisor + training team majority
Good supes take the fucking point out.And absolutely fuck up an arrival stream/hose everyone downwind while getting “currency” too.
It is but what is the union gonna do? Go against the trainee who is probably a memberThat’s a blatant violation of the most recent training order that requires supervisor + training team majority
Don’t forget that you have that one douchebag that got checked out by Tiny even though nobody in his training team had recommended him, and he’s now a supe and an even bigger douchebag! I’m so glad I don’t have to work there anymore. They’ve been doing that in PHL Area C regularly now. Hell they certified someone because someone who was not their trainer announced they’re recommending everyone so they can go back to N90 and they counted it as a rec. Our newest CPC was having his trainer take over 3 days straight and on the 4th day he was certified.
