$5k bonus when you graduate the academy and an unspecified bonus for guys who are eligible to retire. That's it.
Oh yeah, also a bonus if you volunteer to go to Albuquerque out of the academy.

Well we were all hoping for more and it looks like we will continue to get fucked over by the Agency and the lack of balls “Union.” Time for the Agency to just ramrod trainees through the Academy, their OJT, and fingers crossed they don’t kill people before the next election cycle. They only care about numbers and aircraft delays. They don’t give a shit about safety.

They asked about retention for the middle 10,000 and the secretary specifically pointed out that Nick and the union negotiated a “new” contract for those of us 10,000 in December. How’s that for “leverage”?

Also Duffy said "there are more stressful jobs out there" and controllers "they get paid well for the work that they do."

After watching, you'd be a fool not to go to Australia if you're stuck at a low level facility.
NATCA consistently argues for "staffing" because that means more new hires. New hires are much easier to convince to join the union and get their money for the next several years before they get pissed off and quit the union. Jamaal and Nick constantly have dinners at the academy and waste OUR money for these people that aren't even at a facility.
It's becoming very hard to impossible to defend NATCA. Duffy could be going for a union busting play by turning the union against itself and he did so easily. Nick Daniels is a clown. I hope you Nick Daniel dick suckers that voted for him are happy.

Yes it is supreme bullshit that the retirement eligible folks and academy grads are the ones who get the bonus and not us. The one thing I will say is that Sean Duffy said this is being done with the current budget that we have. There is a press conference next week about big changes or investments so I am holding out hope that there is some money for all controller pay to be increased. Call me foolish but I am still holding the faith until that conference. If there is still nothing then I will lose all hope.

You honestly believe there will be something? Duffy called checkmate on nick in the news conference by saying “they just negotiated a new contract”. That was Duffy’s way of saying “they made their bed, time to lay in it”
I’d love to be wrong, but the odds are pitiful. We got nothing. There will be nothing.

I am hopeful until we hear about this press conference next week. If all this money gets poured into ATC and none of it is for salary increase then I will get angry. We shall see.
