Prior Experience Married Controllers

Married controllers applying for the year long prior experience bid at the same time. Would they place us at the same facility/facilities close to each other or will they not care at all? If it matters, we both hold a CTO but only I have radar experience.

I’ve read about people applying for a prior experience/ots bid while their spouse is already in the FAA but haven’t seen anything about both controllers applying at the same time.

Definitely reach out to your HR rep and tell them that your married, I would advise not to accept placement if they try to split you guys up. They make more of an effort to place married couples together initially but after that, the agency doesn't care

They put us together for the first facility in 2015. Any movement after that godspeed, good luck

This was back in 2014ish so things have changed but my friend and her husband (both prior experience) got different facilities initially that were close to each other but after a call with hr they were placed in the same facility

Married couple at ZMP just got picked up on the May 2024 NCEPT to ZOB and CLE. So movement is possible, but highly unlikely for both.
