It’s so unbelievably arrogant for the administration to have such an EO. Why should I be forced to take a vaccine if I have something even the cdc says is better than the vaccine? Why would I subject myself to an injection if I don’t need it? The cost associated with training one controller is significant for the FAA. A controller who knows his airspace and all its nuances and who can train others is not an asset that they can afford to lose at this time especially at smaller under-staffed facilities. The time necessary to train controllers is significant as well. I understand that many controllers can’t afford to not comply with this mandate but I do believe there is a significant number who are eligible to retire or who can afford to jump ship. IMO: That combined with members leaving the union should send alarm bells ringing. I also believe it’s wise to at least begin working on backup career strategies or other sources of income in order to better prepare oneself for similar situations in the future. Not placing all of your eggs into one basket is a good idea when it comes to our careers or providing for our families.

…going back to college next year to finish up my degree and working all the OT (plenty right now) I can work to shore up as much savings as possible. Throwing it into stocks to avoid inflation.

Don’t say this. You’ll get mocked for not eating, sleeping, and shitting atc. You’ll get mocked for having other avenues of income. Sure, one person, three people might not make a dent. But three people from one facility, five from another, two people from the next.. you think it’s bad enough not being able to transfer to a more desirable facility and advance your career now? Wait til even a fraction of the workforce is eliminated due to noncompliance. It doesn’t have to be 25-50% for y’all to see decades worth of lasting effects. I just said I wasn’t anti vaccine…I wouldn’t be open to taking it either because I believe my own healthy diet and lifestyle is enough and I was right. I was sick for a couple days and that’s it. That’s my freedom to make that choice as its yours to make a choice and get the vax. The science is joke because both sides have manipulated it to hell and back. There’s arguments on both sides that have scientific support.

Are you pro mandaters really that arrogant to say that nurses who have been on the front lines this entire time doing their best to keep people healthy now lose their jobs because they don’t want to take the shot?
