Yes, I agree that doing drugs would not be conducive to a lasting career with the FAA. But if the vote to legalize came down to a referendum, I would absolutely be at the polls to vote Yes, though I have no doubt the FAA would make some sort of Nyquil-like policy so that you would need 72 hours after smoking to come to work so that it wouldnt be viable.

As for the 2nd part, after Canadian legalization, NavCanada basically classifies weed like alcohol use and treats their workforce like big boys and girls saying "don't be an idiot and come to work inebriated."

The legalization of marijuana will not allow anyone to actually use it if they want to stay employed. They can legalize it nationwide tomorrow but that doesn't mean it still won't be a DQ on a drug test.

worked in Canada. Canadian controllers and pilots are allowed to smoke, although you need 28 days toke to scope. Because that socialist hell hole has more freedumb than the ole USA
