I always thought it was weird the cheapest house in Sleepy Hallow was about 500K (probably 900K now) largely due to the story. Yes, I understand it’s “commuting distance” to Manhattan if you consider 2 hours to be commuting distance but those prices were still way high compared to other suburbs around it.
