Anyone seen one new golf R? It’s not a corvette but I think it looks pretty sweet and is more in a tower controllers price point.

My uncle has a 2-3 year old Golf R with the dual clutch auto. It's mental how quick and smooth it is.

Yep I was looking at a used one last month, but ended up going with a Ram 1500. I had a GTI a few years ago and was looking at getting back into another one or a R.

GTI is a great car. I just want the AWD. So I’m looking at that and waiting for the next STi.

I prefer my manual gearbox too but the flappy paddle shifters are faster for everyone but a race car driver.

I really hope Subaru can catch up to VW in the interior design of their vehicles. My 2016 WRXs interior is shitty and cheap. Our 2019 Atlas blows it out if the water. My buddies 2014 GTI is way ahead of my WRX in that category. Though we both prefer the WRXs drivability. If I were to pick between the R and STi right now, I would go R.

Totally. I have 2019 ascent and the interior is nice but not atlas nice. If they can keep building on What they’ve been doing in the new Forster and outbacks for interior then I think it could be good. But VW design will always be cleaner.

the new sti is rumored to be getting around 400hp. Hard to ignore that if it’s true, huge jump in power.
