In a limited time frame, maybe. But given a 10-20 year span, consider traffic doubling, or shrinking by half or less. wouldn’t this affect needed ATC #’s? I might be wrong here
Unless facilities start requesting CPC numbers to be increased at those facilities (staffing increase), the FAA only aims to hire for projected:
Retirements, failures (washouts), quitting, or other (deaths, medical loss, etc).

It’s a giant numbers guessing game. Whether they meet their numbers annually is dependent on many factors (obviously). It’s kinda like NCEPT when you give it deep-enough thought.

My point is that they don’t lol. They literally keep the profits and don’t do these things you say to a degree that offsets the cost of the tax cuts.
bullshit. A business can’t scale up if they don’t hire more employees etc. you’re a fucking idiot

Trump cut taxes, and regulations. Which allowed 3 years (before Rona), of huge growth for the airlines. More jet orders, hiring, adding flights. See earlier post quoting CEO’s of Delta, FedEx, and SW, directly crediting these cuts for the jump. More airline traffic translates into more ATC jobs. The growth now under Biden is simply business coming back on the back side of the virus.
The majority of times when an airline especially mainlines purchase new jets it's a replacement for something they already have. It isnt always adding more planes to the fleet.

Hurrr durrr scaling businesses I’m super smart. I’m saying business don’t want to scale up. They literally stay the same and pocket the money from the decreased taxes. But keep insulting people, it makes you look cool.
More proof you don’t know what you’re talking about.

But they DID add jets to the fleet, on a large scale. And they DID hire more employees, more than in decades. And that all resulted in more job—for Boeing/Airbus employees, catering employees/providers, airport concession workers, flight attendants, mechanics, dispatchers, cab drivers, local restaurants, strip clubs, etc

Previous comments all true. Great place to live, great climate, tons of scenic areas, fishing, camping, hiking, etc.

I live on the Vancouver side and experience no shenanigans, but plenty of people work here live in areas/neighborhoods outside of the city and would say the same.

Pay is adequate for modest accommodations, but I feel it could use a bit of a bump to compensate for markets spinning out of control into the upper 400k-500k for homes with space for families.
Do you think there will be mass locality bumps for dozens of markets next year which are experiencing housing explosions and other incredible costs?

Can we argue about guns again?

My boy Benitez is making so many gun control babies sore with his accurate comparisons of the AR-15 to a Swiss Army knife. Can’t wait for this ruling to get to
SCOTUS and be affirmed, LAX here I come!

saying it’s irrelevant is stupid. Maybe it should be tied to housing since wages have been largely stagnant or depressed due to corporate greed
Housing costs have no effect on locality. Idk how to dumb it down anymore.
Run for president then you can sign the new locality rates.
