Imagine trying to NCEPT to your hometown of Wilmington or any of the other facilities offered in the retired military controller bid, and a 54 year old retired E9 with 100% VA disability takes your slot ??

Our facility training manager just jumped on our zoom class to tell us we need to get all of our ELMS done for the calendar year by the end of tomorrow.

Not good.

We are funded through the end of the FY so not sure what you’re getting at by saying “not good.”

Not good as it doesn’t look like we’re returning before the end of the year if they want all of the end of the year’s elms done. There’s not much comfort in being funded for less than another month and half.

Some friendly NATCA higher ups are saying that we’ll most likely be on this schedule until PP2 of next year, that locally and nationally collaborative talks are having issues, and that we most likely will not be returning for another 120 recert if it gets to that level.

So yeah, not good.

Regional NATCA call just now, RVP says he was briefed by the NEB yesterday and any rumors of training starting tomorrow/next week/next month are 100% not true for now. Face shields have arrived in OKC and now they have to go through the distribution chain to facilities. But face shields arriving doesn't necessarily mean training will start again—they're still discussing it on the national level.
