Imagine being the first person to have to train someone who has been in the Air Force from 18-38 years old and is now on terminal leave starting an FAA job under the Retired Military Controller job bid. No Academy, no way of knowing if they've done anything the last 10 years but sit behind a desk full of plaques w a coffee cup that says My Daddy is in the Air Force!

It would probably be less harmful to those 15 facilities to allow parolees who faced 20-to-life to become janitor. How did those select few places make the list and how do those stuck working there feel about being the lucky recipients? Have fun getting lectured about punctuality, teamwork, dress & appearance, & integrity by these boomers as they attempt to adjust to life in the real world! NATCA I trust will work to protect the working conditions of career employees, not part timers who undermine the career field.

You can't soar like an eagle when you surround yourself with turkeys!
If those people at those facs were smart they’d look at it as an opportunity to get the manning up to ERR without adding any competition in the process.
FWIW- I’d rather work with an entitled RMC than an entitled CTI grad who thinks they’re hot shit after passing the academy anyway... boom, roasted.

After training both military and CTI folk...give me the OTS guy.

That whole group minus the 2 or 3 that passed were complete fuckups. I was there during that time. They had 4 or 5 Chevy "we mean business" suburbans rolled up at the academy. They seemed cool in basics, clearly were a bunch of fuckups. Was a Navy guy that used to post here who was part of that class but he and all the others washed. I talked to that class and they were pretty arrogant but that's not really less than what I would expect. Dumbasses
They were one of the other classes that were in the kims edition when I was at rtf. One of them just drove lyft or uber all the time in his suburban. I think they were also part of the shutdown so their class had been going on forever.

This is the result of training riddle grads and navy controllers. I’m sorry that you’ve had to deal with such egos and such little talent.
Training is just another part of the job. Very few controllers enjoy doing it. It is what it is.

Im sure 95 percent of us would be happy if everyone came in, moved the airplanes around to the best of our ability and went home.

Lot of "high risk" people smoking marijuana for months now. Now have scrambled egg brains if they're lucky enough not to OD! I hope these people are all caught and given lifetime NATCA ban.

Ah yes, all of those horrible deaths caused by... overdosing on marijuana... truly the leading problem of our times.

You must be a drug addict. Marijuana will ruin your life and fry your brain like an egg. All the controllers (widespread) doing drugs on Covid leave will get their just desserts and according to my RVP NATCA will not support
